Dogs And Boating
, 09 17th, 2010
As I am at wonderful Lake Havasu for a nice weekend of boating and water sports some campers pull up along side of us with two dogs and left to go boating for the day and left the dogs their in the heat barking. Now one reason they did not take the dogs with them is because the dogs could not swim so why did they not go and buy a dog life vest. If you own dogs a dog life vest should be part of your marine accessories list just as a life vest for yourself.

Marine Biology in the Puget Sound
, 09 16th, 2010
The Northwest, and specifically the Puget Sound in Western Washington, is home to a number of unique and diverse marine creatures. The Northwest has become a central location for the study of marine biology, oceanography, and marine science with its thousands of different marine species and distinctive underwater ecology. Northwest Universities, like the University of Washington located in Seattle, have extensive academic departments dedicated to the study of marine life in the Puget Sound.
With diverse marine environments including tide pools, shallows, reefs, and even hydrothermal vents off the coast, the Northwest and the Puget Sound present an ideal location for marine enthusiasts both academic and private from around the world. Although I’m by no means an expert in the field, I’ve began exploring the Puget Sound on my own during weekends and my free time. Despite having little more than a GPS system and a couple of marine radios, I’ve been able to witness some amazing wildlife.

Little Known Fishfing Tips

By Jerilee Wei

Little Known Fishing Tips
As a child, I spent a lot of time thinking about fish while no fish were biting on my fishing line. I came to a lot of conclusions as the years went by, but it wasn’t until I was an adult, that I understood that fishing is a sport, a science, and an art. While I don’t get to do much fishing these days, I am ready to share the reasons why I almost always catch fish and the man next to me, doesn’t. The fact that my husband seldom catches any fish is probably the biggest reason why I don’t get to do much fishing, but that’s another story.
Like any subject, while you might get lucky and find fish in your lake or pond, knowledge is key to mastery and success, even in fishing. Many of us were lucky enough to have an older family member introduce us to the sport of fishing when we were very young. The first time you caught a fish, most of us were hooked on fishing. For some of us, including myself, that first time lured me into worlds of kindred subjects, such as owning a Furuno Fishfinder.

If you do not want scratches on the side of your boat you need to use boat bumpers whenever you are docking or when you are going to tie up next to another boat. If you see a boat that looks like new you can bet the boat owner uses boat bumpers and will have a good place to store them. When you are creating you marine accessories list make sure you have boat bumpers on the list along with all the required item such as life vest.
