Be Smooth In The Water
, 08 17th, 2010
Have you ever watched a boat out on the water and it looked like it was pushing the water and the bow is not flat in the water well that is because it does not have Bennett Trim Tabs on it. When a boat travels like it is pushing the water your boat is not performing properly and for sure it is not running efficiently, also if you are pulling someone behind the boat it is leaving a very bad wake for them to be in. Bennett Trim Tabs can help the performance of your boat in so many ways you will wonder why the boat manufactures do not put them on when they sell them.
Protecting Your Hull with Boat Bumpers
, 08 16th, 2010
Even the most experienced boaters bump the dock from time to time when they are coming in to tie up. And while it may not seem like casually grazing the dock at 5 mph is a big deal, you have to keep in mind how large your boat is. If you just tap a corner or wall in your car, you’ll at least scratch off the paint and probably dent the bumper, and the same is true for a boat.
The only difference is that you have even less control in the water than you do behind the wheel. In order to ensure your boat’s hull stays safe, it important to invest in a boat dock bumper for each corner of your vessel. This way if your boat bobs into the dock, you’ll simply bounce right off.
Most Important Marine Accessories

People take life jackets lightly and when they do a lot of people loose their life. This last weekend a young man in Bullhead City Arizona jumped into the water and drowned and of course he did not have a life jacket on and he should have because the current is very strong in that area and the water is very cool and the air temperature is very hot which will lead to trouble as it did. Their are so many styles of life jackets made that you can not use the excuse that you could not find one that you like are it did not fit properly. Be safe and add life jackets to your marine accessories list
Properly Inflated SportsStuff
, 08 13th, 2010U
nder-inflation is one of the main causes of damage to the PVC also resulting in seam failure. Air may expand in the bladder during high temperatures making it necessary to release some during use. Under-inflation may result in damage to the SprotsStuff Towable also. The stress on the seam is greater on the on the product when it is not properly inflated. For proper inflation, compressor adapters and high-volume Nice air Pumps can be purchased directly from Sportsstuff and if you use inflatables a lot a good pump should be part of your marine accessories list. Conversely, over-inflation causes seam damage. You must really monitor the inflatable when not in use, especially on hot, sunny days. Keep out of the sun when not in use, and if the tube expands, let some of the air out. Rule of thumb when inflating: Very few wrinkles in the cover and the tube should fit rather snug.
Fun With Towable Tubes
, 08 12th, 2010
If you already have some towable tubes then you know how much fun they are and if you do not have an inflatable towable the you need to get one and join in the fun. I love to watch a family out on the lake with their children pulling them all around and you can tell they are having a lot of fun by the screams of the children on their inflatable towable. Sportsstuff has a large variety of towable tubes such as the sportstuff super mable towable which holds more than one person. You and your family can have a lot of fun on towable tubes but just as any other water sport just be safe when you are having a lot of fun.

Furuno Fishfinder
, 08 10th, 2010
You’ve probably heard about digital fish finders, but aren’t quite sure what the difference is. The main difference is the filtering capabilities and auto adjustments. The all new Furuno Fishfinder DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology helps adjust gain, STC Clutter and output power, as well as suppress main bang (the echoes just below the transducer.) The all new Furuno Fishfinder makes the picture clearer and easier to decipher. But even the best digital filter wont help unless you start with a solid basis, such as Furunos renowned fish finder technology.
Correct Marine Propellers
, 08 09th, 2010
Composite and plastic propellers are generally used for emergency situations. Aluminum propellers, being the most common, have reasonable durability for most applications.
Stainless steel propellers are stronger than most all other propeller materials. Some advantages are longer life and high hydrodynamic efficiency derived from stiffer blades.
The correct size marine propeller is important because of the rpms that the engine will turn, if your marine propeller is not the correct size your boat motor will have to turn to higher rpms for the boat to perform properly which can cause engine damage.
If your boat has one engine the prop will turn clockwise and if you have two motors one propeller will run clockwise and the other will run counter clockwise and this will help the boat steer easier and keep the boat level.
Marine Battery Charger A Must
, 08 06th, 2010T
he new GUEST Intelligent Charging System uses the latest microprocessor design and offers the most versatile, easy-to-use and reliable battery charging/monitoring system available.
The ICS chargers are designed so user communication with the microprocessor happens at the touch-pad control center. Positioned at the top of the Guest Battery Charger, the control center provides easy viewing of charge status, along with user selectable controls to tailor each charge output for specific battery types (AGM, Flooded or Gel).
Advanced microprocessor control for each output ensures that each battery onboard receives the precise charging profile to optimize available power and extend battery life. Tri-color LED displays provide easy viewing of charge status for each battery, plus warning indicators that alert boaters to small problems before they become large ones. The Guest Battery Charger is an absolute must in you marine accessories list.
