Neoprene is a family of synthetic rubbers that are produced by polymerization of chloroprene.   Neoprene in general has good chemical stability, and maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range which makes it a very good product for neoprene life vest.  Neoprene is also used to make wet suits which has to be very comfortable and temperature resistant which makes for a very comfortable life jacket which can be very important in a childrens life life jacket because they could be in a life jacket all day long.

Their are dog life jackets available all over the internet to help keep your dog safe from drowning.  I see a lot of people boating with their dog standing on the bow of the boat watching everything going on in the lake, if the dog sees a duck or any other creature out on the lake it could jump into the water to chase the duck and panic and the end result would not be very pleasant.  Make sure you put a dog life jacket on your pet so you do not loose it because it wants to have a little fun in the water chasing ducks or may even try fishing so make a dog vest part of your marine accessories list.

Their is a large list of marine accessories that you need on your boat, some are required and some are just good things to have on your boat.  You are required by law to have a Coast Guard approved live vest for everyone on your boat and these should be checked to make sure the are in good shape, also needed is a fire extinguisher, also you need an oar,  if your boat does not have a horn then you will need a portable one, running lights or required on your boat and also all boats have a person limit and weight limit.  Their are also marine accessories that or not required but are a good thing to have such as tools and a marine spot light.
