Boat stereos come non weather proof, weather proof and water proof so you need to choose the one that fits you needs the best on your boat.  Most boats you probably want to consider the water proof stereo because of the wet environment that can exist if you have people in an out of the water a lot.  Finding a marine stereo can be found on the internet on in a boat store, also if you are going to use several speakers you may want to us a amplifier to make sure you get the proper volume.  Most marine stereos come the same size as car stereo but the marine stereo has the circuit boards coated.

You can  not have good sounds on your boat if you do not have good marine speakers no matter how much you paid for your stereo.  Make sure the speakers and the radio are marine and not for a car, marine is just as the term state that they are for the wet environment which is always going on in a boat.  Their are people that have to pup a new stereo in their boat because it is not  of marine quality  which can get to be very expensive.
