CB Communication

Author: WaterBlogged, 02 18th, 2010

Before the popularity of mobile phones and video phones, there were two-way radios. They are better known as citizen’s band radios or CB radios and were used for short-distance personal communications. This form of communication was particularly useful for small businesses. It requires tuning in to a similar frequency in order to communicate with the other radio.

These radios still exist today and have their own niche market. Kenwood, Motorola, and Cobra CB radios are some of the known brands in the market. They are convenient and easy to use. They are also economical and perfect for families or businesses that require constant communication.

The Pol11232.gify-Planar MRD 60 stereo system is the first sound system specifically designed for the Marine Industry. It is the most versatile, feature-rich system in marine market. The front panel of the stereo is waterproof and does not require an additional cover when mounting the system above deck. A bright electro-luminescent LCD display is easily visible both at night and in direct sunlight.

The system has an integrated 4 channel amplifier that produces up to 45 watts per channel for a total system power of 180 watts. The amplifier has a distortion limiting feature that illuminates clipping at maximum gain and provides high quality sound even at full volume.

A unique Audio Port allows the addition of features such as hard wired remote controls with intercom, pre amp outputs for amplifiers (variable and fixed) plus auxiliary inputs for such sound sources as a VHF radio or a TV set.

The system may be controlled from the front panel, or by using an optional full function wireless remote that is waterproof and floats. boatingNothing says summer than spending a day out on the lake with your family and friends. You have the sun, the water, food, good people – the only thing missing is music! It’s understandable that you’d be afraid to bring normal sound systems out onto your boat. After all, they would only get ruined by your dripping wet friends or splashes from a wakeboard or tube.

Don’t let those fears silence your great time out on the water – pick up some waterproof speakers so you can play your favorite tunes wherever you go without worry. You can choose to install powerful, full-range waterproof speakers to your boat, or start out small with a sound system that hooks up to an MP3 player. The MP3 hookup is ideal for small crafts, as well as motorcycles, ATVs and golf carts, and includes a 50 watt waterproof amplifier and 5” coaxil waterproof speakers. If you choose this option, you’ll also want to pick up a waterproof MP3 case to protect your MP3 player from the elements.
